One thing we do not do enough of is sharpen our knives. Every time we pick up our knives we should run them on a honing or a diamond steel, the lata I prefer. So for those of you who have “inherited” a honing steel from your grandparents, best you toss that out and get yourself a new steel. Run your blade on the steel each time you start your day in the kitchen, that way you will keep a the leading edge on your knife. Trust me a sharp knife means you never feel the cut! Ok don’t cut yourself but you know what I mean.
